There were planets, Kazon ships and things

The first thing I met was the old banjo guy
And Ocampa underground
The heat was hot and the ground was dry
But the sky was pulsing pow'r.

I've been through the quadrant on a ship with no plan
It felt good to escape the Badlands
In this quadrant, you have to make your own plans

Le-o-la, la, la, la, la, le-o-la, la, la....

After two years in the Delta Quad
My hair began to turn red
After three years in the Delta Quad
I was sleepin' in an empty bed
And the days that I knew on an earth that was new
Made me sad to go home instead

I've been through the quadrant on a ship with no plan
It felt good to escape the Badlands
In this quadrant, you have to make your own plans

After six years I let the crew run free
And the Helmsman got married to B'E.
There were planets, Ferengi ships and things
There were nebulas and rings
The Captain is a woman with a dark, guilty soul
And a perfect disguise above
Under the commbadge lies a heart made of gold
But a captain can give no love.

I've been through the quadrant on a ship with no plan
