Since this is my first attempt at anything like this, I'd like some feedback (of any kind). Title: Who was that Maked Humanoid? Author: Meghan Elizabeth Series: DS9 Codes: G/B implied Rating: PG Summary: At a Halloween party, Julian encounters a very intriguing figure in Notes: Yes, it's late. I ran out of time at Halloween. I just found this and figured better late than never. And this is my first G/B story, so be kind. I never thought I'd write one of these. . .;-) ***** In honor of the Terran holiday Halloween, there was a costume party at Quarks. Jadzia was parked in the corner with Worf. The two had come as Klingon warriors. *How original.* thought Julian Bashir as he watched the two out of the corner of his eye. He wasn't haven't much fun so far. Miles was stuck in his quarters taking care of a sick Yoshi while Keiko was at a horticulture seminar. Julian had offered to keep him company, but Miles had insisted that he go to the party. So here he was, by himself, at the bar, watching everyone else have fun. He was beginning to consider leaving. He had some work he could be doing in the infirmary. Besides, he felt like an idiot in this costume. The only one left at Garak's shop that afternoon had been some sort of pirate costume. The black pants were much too tight, he swore the shirt was missing some buttons, the hat kept falling off and the damn sword kept poking him in the leg. He had refused to wear the eye patch. Julian had made up his mind to leave when a person came up to him. They were draped from head to toe in a lack cloak. The hood came down so far that you couldn't see a face, only blackness. The robe's sleeves hung down over the person's hands and went to the floor, hiding their feet. Julian smiled, "Hello." The figure said nothing. "Who are you supposed to be? The Grim Reaper?" The figure shook its head. "A Dynasisn?" Again, the figure shook its head. "I give up. Who are you?" The figure glanced around and then began to walk toward the back of Quark's, beckoning for Julian to follow. Anxious to make this night a little more exciting, he followed. The figure started to lead him in the back room, where it was dark. Starting to wonder if maybe this was a bad idea, Julian backed away slighty. "We should probably be getting back to the party." No reply was visible in the darkness, the figure's cloak blending in with the darkness. Julian started to turn around and leave the room to go back to the bar when the figure pushed him up against the wall and held his arms to his sides. "What the-?" He was silenced by a kiss- the cloaked figure was kissing him. And he was kissing back, and rather enjoying it at that. Then, as suddenly as it started, it stopped. The figure stepped away. "Wait- who?" Julian asked. He was interrupted by the bright flash of the lights turning on and Quark saying, "Who's in here?" When he saw the doctor, he added, "What are you doing in here?" Shielding his eyes from the light, Julian replied, Just getting away from the crowd." His eyes adjusted and he saw that the cloaked figure was gone. Quark noticed Julian's confused expression and asked, "Something wrong?" Julian shook his head. "Either I've had too much to drink tonight or not enough." Quark smiled. "We can fix that. Follow me." Julian obeyed, still thinking about that stolen kiss. ***** In his quarters, Garak took off his cloak and laughed.
