Forwarded by the ASC-VSO Posted: Sun, 01 Feb 2004 07:57:00 GMT In: alt.startrek.creative From: Gabrielle Lawson inheildi@earthlink.net DS9 Stories posted between 1/26/2004 through 1/31/2004 If you posted a DS9 story during this time and don't see it on this list, please e-mail me the header information. Why a day early? Because the ASC year is ending! The stories listed below showed up on my newsserver before 12:00am Central with the exception of the last one which showed a timestamp of 12:14am. Whether or not this was posted before 12am local to the author is unknown by me. I've included it here to be on the safe side. There may be other stories posted before 12 local as well as there are time zones well after Central US. Please send me an e-mail if you posted your story by midnight local. I'll see if I can verify it somewhere. I do provide the list of DS9 stories eligible for awards to the Awards Committee and I don't want to leave anyone out who legitimately should be eligible. And please do use a header; they make everyone's lives easier, even yours! Really they do. Especially at this time of year. I have to sort the entire year's worth of DS9 story by category and title. This is a lot simpler when I can just let Excel do it. To do that, I need uniformity. I know the Archive folks would love it if your header was uniform throughout. I only ask for the first two lines. Give me the first two lines and I'll be happy. They should look like this: Title: (followed by your title) Author: (followed by your name/penname/e-mail etc.) Whatever you do from here down, I don't care. Just please use those first two lines in that format exactly, with no empty line breaks between the fields. It makes everything so much easier. (I created those first two lines for one author below.) See FAQ at the end of this post. ******* 1/26/2004 REPOST Title: Faith: Hope Author: Gabrielle Lawson (inheildi@earthlink.net) Series: DS9 Part: REP 1/18 Rating: [PG-13] Codes: REPOST Title: Faith, Part II: Forgiveness Author: Gabrielle Lawson (inheildi@earthlink.net) Series: DS9 Part: REP 0/9 Rating: [PG] Codes: Summary: Doctor Bashir, after having been marooned for over six months, 1/30/2004 NEW DS9 "The Quiet Cardassian" Garak, Dukat, Tain, Feron [PG-13] by Sisko2374 Summary: During the occupation of Bajor, Garak is caught up in a web of Title: Family Lines Author: Sara Goose Series: DS9 Rating: PG-13 Codes: K, O'B Part: 1/1 Summary: A sequel to "Another Glance" 1/31/2004 REPOST Title: Echoes of Truth Author: Valerie Shearer Contact: nightbird47@hotmail.com Webpage: http://www.geocities.com/RainForest/Andes/3071/arch1.html Series: DS9 Part 1/1 Rating: PG Codes: B& parents Summary: On his fourteenth birthday, Jules (Julian) Bashir discovers Title: Memories of Truth Author: Valerie Shearer (nightbird47@hotmail.com) Series: DS9 Webpage: http://www.geocities.com/RainForest/Andes/3071/arch1.html Part: NEW 1/3 Rating: [PG] Codes: B&Parents Summary: On his fourteenth birthday, Jules (Julian) Bashir discovers Title: Faith, Part III: Peace Author: Gabrielle Lawson (inheildi@earthlink.net) Series: DS9 Part: NEW 0/17 Rating: [PG-13] Codes: Summary: Doctor Bashir, has given up on DS9, Starfleet, the Federation, Title: Third Way Out Author: Sisko2374@aol.com (J. As a result of #4, some of the stories listed will not be in the DS9 category come Awards time because, for example, they're really a TNG story that just includes some DS9 characters. Why reposts and drafts? Because I see this as a tool for DS9 readers as well as archivists and awards people. It's a newsbrief, of sorts. How often does a story get posted? Only once. I don't list every part. I usually list the first part only. Exceptions: serials, such as "A New Moon," will be listed when new parts get posted. Again, this has to be obvious to me. -- --Gabrielle I'd much rather be writing! http://www.stormpages.com/gabrielle/trek/ The Edge of the Frontier http://www.stormpages.com/gabrielle/doyle/ This Side of the Nether Blog: http://www.gabriellewrites.blogspot.com -- Stephen Ratliff ASC Stories Only Forwarding In the Pattern Buffer at: http//trekiverse.crosswinds.net/feed/ Yahoo!
