GD, [PG] By Kapitan Quirk Summary: More patriotic poetry from the pen of Gul Dukat Denial: I didn't write this. The characters are Paramount slaves, the story line was made up by some think-tank bozos back East. I am proud to be a Cardassian, Again, Today. We stomp the weak little worlds of the Galaxy, For ore, And to control them, Or so they say. But we really are just defending ourselves, When we invade, All those little worlds, With names like Qari. A desert planet it was, With a petty tyrant, Who though he helped us once, And received our aid and comfort, Now threatens to pull down, Our mighty Empire, Threatened by all around us, That's what we are, No one understands, Poor Cardassia, And what we must do, Perhaps one day to you? As well. Why do they hate us so? It makes no sense. Ore is not the issue Go to Bajor. There you will find many, Who welcome us, With open arms. Their women are glad to see us, Their children are not frightened, Their menfolk are well employed , In the mines and ore processors, Run by us, Cardassians. What is wrong with that? Can that be why the Galaxy despises us? Even while they envy, The power, Of Cardassia. And fawn to pay tribute to the Empire, That they can never build nor be? Worms! Should we blow a few of you up? To make an example! Of all you terrorists to be! Envy. That's why they hate, Us. Poor Cardassia! So in return for our services, Bringing Cardassian civilization, To backward worlds, We take a little ore here, A little dilithium there. We administer resources, Wherever we go, For the betterment of all, Of course. We are not thieves, We take only what we rightfully require, So that the Empire may live, While the rest of you terrorist scum die, Die, Die! As you so rightfully deserve. Your women will love us, Your children will worship us, Your menfolk will know work and discipline, Above all, We shall teach you respect, For Cardassia! Look out Galaxy! The Cardassians have come, The Cardassians are here! All kneel and bow before us. We are triumphant. Qari will never threaten us again!
