AND no I do not make any money from my insane fanishness Border patrol for fourteen standard days was the Enterprise's new assignment. A Romulan ship had been sighted near the Neutral Zone and Star Fleet wanted its flagship there to flex its muscles. The crew had just come back from a seven-day shore leave when the assignment was dispatched. Everyone was well rested, ready to face the troubling Romulans. Uhura couldn't take the full seven days of leave like the rest of the senior officers. It was her turn for watch duty on the bridge when the ships crew was on leave. Spock was ordered by the captain to come ashore, therefore, he could not alleviate her. Everyone ate at the famous Julian's restaurant on the last night, wishing the life of the party could join them. Uhura. Unfortunately the entire senior crew, excluding Uhura, was suffering from food poisoning in sickbay. She was left once again to sit in the captain's chair. It wasn't so bad during the leave; she was able to catch up on the menial tasks she let fall behind. But now...she was absolutely BORED. There she sat in the command chair, wearing her new, red uniform. The hem was slightly higher than regulation allowed, and there was no one to notice but the young jr. officers. She took great care to manicure her nails, moisturize her skin and have a beautiful coif, with the hem for added effect, when everyone came back. She wanted to show Spock what he missed for seven days. And where was he now, in sickbay. He was always amicable and polite, but he was also male. She noticed the little looks he gave her when she came into the room or when she walked by him giving him a whiff of her scent. No matter how small the look, the point was he looked. The sounds of red alert interrupted her thoughts, bringing the trained Star Fleet Officer to attention. "Shields just snapped on Lieutenant." "Full stop, hold our position, main phasers stand by. Analysis Science Officer." "Sensor readings show a Romulan vessel near the Neutral Zone Lieutenant." // Great, this just had to happen with a skeleton jr. crew on my shift. // Uhura hit a button on the arm of the captain's chair. She made a ship wide announcement, informing all hands to man battle stations. After ordering the blaring sounds of the Claxton's to be turned off, the replacement Communications Officer announced they were being hailed. "On screen." "Aye, aye, on screen." It was the Romulan commander whom Spock and Kirk stole the Cloaking device from. "I am the Commander of this Romulan vessel. I will speak to Mr. Spock." "This is Commander Uhura, // well someday // what do you want with him." "I will speak to him now Commander." "He is not available at the moment, maybe I can help you." Uhura saw the expeditiously masked disappointment in the Romulan Commander's eyes. //Ah, I've seen that look before. It's universal. It would seem our Mr. Spock has captivated another heart, across the Neutral Zone no less. // The Romulan commander noticed Uhura's sudden defensive stance. Fingers gripping the chair, the working muscles in her thighs, the tilt of her head and eyes cold as space. // It would seem Mr. Spock has another admirer. Human, disgusting. // "Do not interfere Commander. Where is your captain?" "He is with Mr. Spock. I am in command of this vessel for now so if you want something you will have to go through... me." Uhura was sure the Commander understood her meaning. ******************* Spock heard the sounds of the red alert. Although he was sure the lieutenant could handle herself, she was working with a skeleton crew. He was able to convince M'benga to sanction him fit for duty, considering he was in better shape than the rest of the officers. He dressed quickly and headed for the bridge. ******************* "Let's not play games Commander Uhura. I know what you want and you know what I want." "What you want is irrelevant." At this time Spock entered the bridge unnoticed. He was surprised to see the Romulan Commander on the main screen and decided to stay near the turbo lift doors, observing. He was shocked to find that he was the subject of their conversation. The Romulan spat venomous words at Uhura, spittle flying from her mouth. "You weakling human. Do you think you could satisfy him the way I can. Romulan females are superior to humans in every aspect of our lives, including satisfying the ravenous appetite of males. I will make him aware of all areas of his masculinity not just his mind. He will desire me, pursue me CRAVE ME. You can't even come close as to the things I can do to drive that non-emotional Vulcan wild." "All I need is a feather and some chocolate syrup." Both of Spock's eyebrows climbed into his perfect hairline and he left the bridge. The commander merely examined the beautiful human female, whose demeanor was suddenly confident. She hated her, she loathed her. She couldn't believe this weakling human such as she would dare to fall in love with someone who was superior to her. Uhura knew her calm response confused the commander. She remembered at the captain's debriefing, after successfully stealing the cloaking device, that he mentioned the commander herself said the terran language was difficult for her to understand. // Let her analyze that. // Just as the Romulan understood the expression, Spock walked through the doors of the turbo lift and onto the bridge. With determination in his step, he walked to the command chair. The Commander was exhilarated to see him once again. "Greetings Spock." "Greetings Commander." "What is that you have in your hand?" "This commander is what we call, a feather." Uhura crossed her legs while taking the long, soft white feather from Spock. With his hands held behind his back, he curiously watched her as she pulled the feather between well-manicured fingers. "Spock, why would you give this inferior human something so preposterous?" Suddenly Spock gripped the arm of the command chair. As the Commander watched, Uhura used the feather to brush the tip of Spock's ear. She watched disbelieving as Spock's pupils began to dilate. A consuming desire stripped him of his control. The commander was completely unaware of the erotic effect feathers had on the tips of Vulcan ears. It was one of the slight differences between Vulcans and Romulan. Since there are not many feathered birds on the dessert planet, this information was not widely known, even to Vulcans. Uhura found this knowledge in an old book called Vulcan Myths, tossed in an old bookstore bin. Spock looked at Uhura a burning passion and said with a raspy voice, " The chocolate syrup is warming up." With a seductive smile Uhura stood, smoothed her hair as well as her newly hemmed uniform and reached for the 'end transmission' button on the arm of the chair. She looked at the Romulan commander and announced victoriously, "Enterprise out." NewMessage:
