This was deeply burned on my desk for years but I think it's time to
post it now. I ever had intended to write a happy ending as well but
it's not done yet and I don't know if I still will do.

Only the wind heard the words of the lonely man at the solitary grave.

Why?

Why, Spock?

Why did this happen?

Why did you leave me alone?

Why didn't you give us a second chance?

Why didn't you trust me enough to let me help you?

Why didn't you love me enough to stay with me forever?

Why didn't you know that I would love you despite everything that
happened?

Nevasa dropped below the horizon.  Only the stars stood witness, as the
lonely man slowly raised his phaser.
