Notes: Part of the "Loves Lost" drabble series, a tribute to Data as a 
lover and friend. These are the stories of how the women in his life 
react to the news of his death. For those of you who don't remember (or don't obsess about a certain android), Ardrian is the scientist that crushes on Data in "Ensigns of Command". 


It takes a while for news to travel all the way out here. By the time I heard, he had already been dead a week. A week. A lot can happen in a week. I guess I should have found it ironic that during that week I'd gotten married. 

I didn't. In fact I'm not sure what I feel. Numb I guess. The again I've always felt numb.

My wife and I are happy, I suppose. I married because it was expected of me. I suppose I love her. 

I've always felt numb. 

Except that one time when he kissed me.
