I hope everyone enjoys it half as much as I did writing it. I have read enough slash to think the next part in this little glimpse will be about McCoy and his 'new friend' Bubba. After all I have to start somewhere with a slash side if I run with it. Bert Title: The Verdict Author: Bert Aka T'Vera Email: tverachasarek @ buckeye-express . com Website: http://mystories.landsofthedragon.com Series: TOS Pairing: Mc/f Rating: PG-13(for Strong Language) Summary: This is simply a bit of Dribble. A glimpse into what could have Disclaimer: I do not nor will ever own the Characters of Trek ".the house located in Atlanta, on Peach Blossom Parkway." The words were spoken by a stout salt and peppered woman. She would serve as judge and jury in this very trying case. He shifted in the cherry wood chair. Meticulously shaped nails dug into the arm rests. He was not hearing this. There was no way his lawyer could have shafted him in such a manner. Sure he hadn't expected to get everything but the house? The house had been in his family for 400 years. How in the hell could he have lost it? "What the hell are you doing?!" He said as he stood looking from the judge to his soon to be ex-wife. "Sit down sir," the Judge told him. "Leonard just sit," his lawyer almost pleaded. "This isn't helping any." He then addressed the Judge, "The plaintiff apologizes to the court." "Like hell I do." His face was red and the veins in his neck were clearly defined at the surface. He pointed to his soon to be ex, "That slut is getting everything I and my family worked hard for!" She had been the one that cheated on him, in their bed none-the-less. The gavel slammed on the bench a few times, at one point lifting the gavel's plate right off the surface. "Dr. McCoy, I will warn you only once. Control your temper or I shall hold you in contempt of court." Without another word he sat down. "Finally, in regards to the minor child, Joanne Marie McCoy, custody is awarded to Jocelyn McCoy. Dr. Leonard McCoy will be given supervised visitation once a week." Leonard stood up so fast his chair slammed into the wooden fencing behind him. "You can't do that. I never beat my daughter, I never did anything inappropriate. She is my world. Don't do this to me please your Honor." Tears streamed down his eyes. He looked to his wife who was grinning like the Cheshire Cat. "She can screw any Tom, Dick, or Harry in my bed and get everything. That is not right." Again the gavel slammed down, "I warned you once already. Bailiff, take him to holding. Thirty days in the county jail should cool your heals." Too soon Leonard found his hands bound behind his back, being escorted to the holding cell that awaited him. ~-~ Thirty Days Later A free man both in spirit and body walked into the crisp spring breeze. The first thing he saw was a sign saying, 'Starfleet-To Boldly Go Where No Man Has Gone Before.' That interested him for months his friend James had been saying Starfleet was in desperate need of Physicians. He through the set up double doors and stated matter-of-factly, "I am Dr. Leonard H. McCoy. Where do I sign up?" He hoped his daughter would some day understand. [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ------------------------ Yahoo!
