lover and friend. These are the stories of how the women in his life
react to the news of his death. 


I wonder if he knew I was still alive? I wonder if anyone did. 

I realized my daughter must have told them I was dead. I suppose I was dead - am dead - to her. It does not matter, it's too late now. 

Too late, too late. 

I wanted to wait. I did. Wanted to seek him out when I could. But I knew by the time he would be on the Enterprise, in space, I would be too old to be of interest. Maybe I was wrong. 

That's what hurts the most. 

Maybe he still loved me too.
