Contact: caitn at mindspring dot com Series: DS9 Codes: O, Qu Rating: G Archive: ASCEML yes, everyone else please ask Copyright: September 2004 Disclaimer: Paramount owns the characters, I just take 'em out for a spin every once in a while. Author's Note: Written for Stephen's Bad Title Challenge. Summary: Takes place between the season 4 episode, "Broken Link" and *** "Kira for Ills" by Cait N. "You don't look so hot, Constable," Quark commented. "I don't feel good." In truth, Odo had seen better days. Ever since being made a solid, he'd experienced hunger, thirst, intoxication, sleeplessness, lethargy. He'd never realized how much he took for granted being able to shapeshift. The old saying, "You don't know what you've got till you lose it," was his new mantra. And of course, he kept it all to himself. Like he always did. At least some things never changed. "What's wrong now?" Quark asked. "You wouldn't believe me if I told you." Quark put down the cloth he'd been wiping the bar with. "Try me." Odo sighed. "I'm restless." Quark nodded like he knew exactly what Odo was talking about. And maybe he did. "I know just the thing." "Please," Odo shook his head for emphasis, "I don't need a shot of something that will leave me passed out in a puddle of my own drool and I hate doctors." "Not any of that," Quark assured him. He leaned forward in a conspiratorial manner and whispered in Odo's ear, "The cure for all your ills is Kira."
