The ASCEML Staff bring you the Summer Lovin' Fic Exchange!

Basically it's a combination of an open themed challenge and a fic exchange.

"Tell me more!" you say? Well, you use the handy form below to sign up. You list three to five pairings you'd like someone to write for you, plus a "theme" word for each. The theme word must have something to do with Summer (ie. TOS, Scotty/Uhura, secluded beach). You can be more specific if you'd like such as saying "and make it R rated if possible." Please keep in mind that since ASCEML is a Star Trek group, the pairings must all be Trek.

Then you list three to five pairings you'd be willing to write for someone else.

You also list any pairings, scenarios you absolutely are not willing to write (slash, het, bdsm, grapefruit, first time, etc.)

Sign ups end on May 26th, 8pm EST.

Matchups will then commence using our state-of-the-art computer program, and assignments will be sent out on May 29th.

After assignments go out, you have until midnight on August 5th to write your story and send it in to the email address included in your assignment letter. On August 10th, all the stories received will be posted to ASCEML (under individual authors' email addresses) and you'll get to read your story and see who wrote it for you! (the 5 day gap is to allow for stragglers to get their stories in before they are all posted)

Assignments are meant to be secret, so please don't tell someone you're writing a story for them, unless you want to spoil the surprise.

If you have questions about your assignment, please email and ask us (email address provided at the bottom of this page). If it's a question for your recipient, we'll be the go-between to keep things anonymous.

Stories must be at least 500 words long. If you realize you're not going to be able to get anything done in time, let us know as soon as possible so we can get someone to "pinch hit" for you! It would suck to be the one person who didn't get a story when it could have easily been avoided.
